EMIT ET4 Matching clock

The Timer ET5 is a new generation of advanced matching clocks from Emit designed for sports with interval starting, especially cross-country skiing and biathlon. The ET5 replaces the old ET4 and is also very suitable as a speaker´s clock.

The Timer ET5 presents used time for a competitor simultaneously with the difference to other competitors. Name can also be shown. It is possible to get different types of result lists at the display. The ET5 can handle many classes, several passes and some thousands times.

With the ET5 the coaches can give all "their" runners the correct information about their placing, time after the leader as well as other information. It is unnecessary to write down passing times and to count the placing.

ET5 takes the best from the ET4 and add Finish clock support, thermal printer output and PC communication. 

          Ski testing
          Like the ET4 also the ET5 has a built-in program for ski testing. Some additional equipment, two photocells, a battery pack and cables, will then be needed. Ask for a special brochure for the Ski tester.

          Using the Timer ET5 as a matching clock
          The Timer ET4 has to be programmed before it is being used. Information concerning classes, starting numbers, starting times and intervals must be answered as the ET4 asks the questions. The ET4 can easily be programmed the day before the race, if the starting list is available. The ET4 remembers it all even if it is turned off. The day of the race the ET4 may be used for Ski testing first and then taken out to the track for matching. It is not necessary to re-program it for this purpose.

          While using the ET5, type the starting number, and press the "time taking button" when the runner is passing. The ET5 keeps count of the right passing order, and presents the ideal matching picture, look at the table below.

          You can easily "leaf" backward and forward through the list to give the runner more information.

          The ET5 keeps track of what lap the runner is passing through, when there are more than one lap. You can easily "jump" from one passing to another. Of course, the ET5 can also present a normal result list. Its possible to "leaf" through this list too.

          When starting number 14, Sørgård is passing, we type 14 and press the time taking button (B). The result is the picture presented above. Sørgård is at the 7th place at 15.39. Dæhlie, who´s leading, is 43 sec. in front of Sørgård. Eide is 8 sec. in front of Sørgård. Skjeldal is nearest from behind, 7 sec.after Sørgård.

          Using ET5 as finish clock
          Times, start numbers or both can be taken with the ET5. You can use the internal keypad to enter all information, or connect a external time taking button. Data will be stored in the internal memory, and can be printed to a thermal printer or send to a pc. Data can be printed/send several times.
